Isabel de Torres National Park takes its name from the popular Loma Isabel de Torres (Isabel de Torres Hill), an 800 metre-high promontory in Puerto Plata.

    view and tour are great but pushy for tips and purchase from shop- $$$. our private taxi tour was the best part of every excursion

    Be sure and drive or have a driver take you to the mountain top! It is a beautiful, lush green drive and the views are amazing. When you get there someone will ask if they can help by taking pictures. The guy who did ours did a great job with various poses and then led us to his jewelry table! No worries, you can so no and give him a tip for taking the pictures. The cable car was not operating when we were there, but we go back next year and hope it will be up and running at that time

    I have been up to this beautiful mountain a couple of times now and every time it's a beautiful experience. The air is very refreshing and nature around you is just stunning. It Its a very refreshing trip, with a huge drop in temperature compared to the coastline.
